How minTAO works.

Everything you need to launch, trade and understand where the fees go. If anything here disagrees with the contracts, the contracts win.

Overview

minTAO is a token launchpad with two venues. TAO launches run on minTAO's own factory on Bittensor EVM: each token is its own market on a constant-product bonding curve, priced in native TAO. ETH launches run through Pons on Robinhood Chain, trade against ETH and graduate to Uniswap v4.

The platform fee of TAO markets accrues on-chain to the fleet treasury, which funds Bittensor subnet miners. Mining income, after costs, is distributed in TAO to $MINTAO holders and published on the fleet ledger.

Launching

  • Identity. Name (up to 64 bytes), ticker (1–10 letters or digits), optional description (up to 2,048 bytes) and an image. Images are cropped to 512×512 WebP and stored by their SHA-256, which is written on-chain.
  • Pair. TAO on Bittensor or ETH on Robinhood Chain. Fixed after launch.
  • Dev buy. Optional. It executes in the launch transaction: if the buy fails, the token is not created.
  • Creator fee. 0–3% of every trade, paid to you in the pair currency. Immutable.
  • Links. X, Telegram and website. For TAO tokens you prove ownership by signing a message (free, no transaction); for ETH tokens they are written into the Pons launch.

No TAO? When ETH funding is available, the launch form quotes the route from ETH on Robinhood Chain to TAO and continues the launch once TAO arrives.

Bonding curve

Each TAO token starts with a 1,000,000,000 token reserve (T), zero real TAO (R) and 100 virtual TAO (V) that set the starting price: 100 / 1B = 0.0000001 TAO per token, a 100 TAO market cap.

  • Buy with gross G: fees come off first, net = G − fees, then tokens out = T × net / (V + R + net).
  • Sell A tokens: gross TAO = (V + R) × A / (T + A), then fees come off what you receive.
  • Spot price is (V + R) / T. Virtual TAO shapes the price and can never be withdrawn; sells only draw on real reserves.
  • Every trade carries a minimum output and a deadline, so the price you approve is the worst price you get.

Fees

TAO launch0.01 TAO
TAO trade · platform1% → fleet treasury
TAO trade · creator0–3%, chosen at launch
ETH launchPons launch fee, shown before signing
ETH tradePons base fee + creator tax; opening anti-snipe tax for the first seconds
BridgeRelay and solver fees only, quoted before signing. minTAO adds nothing.

Fees are rounded down to whole rao (10⁻⁹ TAO). Creators claim their accrued fees from the Portfolio page at any time; claims never touch market liquidity.

Fleet & rewards

The factory credits 1% of every TAO trade to the treasury. The team uses it to buy and run mining hardware for selected Bittensor subnets, targeting one node per $100k of $MINTAO market cap (1, 3, 9, 21, then 99 nodes at $9.9M).

Order of payment: hosting and upkeep, then an operating reserve, then TAO distributions to $MINTAO holders. Distributions are executed by the team, not by the launchpad contracts, and each one is posted on the fleet ledger with its transaction.

Bridge

  • Step 1. Relay moves ETH from Robinhood Chain to USDC on Ethereum and tops up ETH for gas. The quote is checked field by field before your wallet sees it.
  • Step 2. You approve exactly the bridged USDC for the settlement contract.
  • Step 3. An ERC-7683 intent is opened on Ethereum; a solver delivers native TAO to your address on Bittensor EVM, or the order is refunded in USDC.

Contracts

Risks

  • Launchpad tokens are extremely volatile and most go to zero. Only use money you can afford to lose.
  • The TAO factory is open source and verified, but has not had an independent audit. Pons, Relay and the TAO settlement are third-party contracts.
  • Anyone can launch a token with any name. A token on minTAO is not endorsed by minTAO. Check the contract address.
  • Mining income depends on subnet performance, hardware costs and TAO's price. Rewards are not guaranteed and can stop.
  • minTAO is non-custodial: we cannot reverse transactions or recover funds sent to a wrong address.
  • Nothing on this site is financial advice. Check that using it is legal where you live.
